decided to take a neutral stance on the proposed Sewer Interceptor
Project.
Annual Stream Cleanup:
On April 17th
from 9am to 12pm, in cooperation with Perkiomen Watershed Organization
we will be participating in the Annual Stream Cleanup. All participants
will be signing waivers and be covered by the Perkiomen Watershed
Conservancy Insurance for this event. The Indianhead watershed
Association is mobilizing to clean up the area from Arcola bridge to
the Indianhead Dam. All volunteers are welcome. We will meet at Hoy
Park at 9am to organzie cleanup crews & provide bags and gloves as
well as discuss safety. The IWA was nice enough to provide a large
dumpster which will be placed on Audobon Ave for depositing all the
debris we collect. If you have any concerns with the people accessing
your property along the creek to remove trash, please call Scott (Tony)
Cosmi (Indian Head Rd, Arcola - 610-489-8496).
5th Annual Pig Roast is completed:
Our 5th Annual
Pig Roast was held Saturday, September 26th. This was a hard one for
some of us. It was the first Roast without Harry Hall. He was here in
spirit. As we were setting up our tables early Saturday morning, an
eagle flew slowly down the creek about tree top height. It was if Harry
as watching us! All those here saw it and the comment was "Harry is
here with us"...more

Sad News for the IWA:
It
is with a heavy heart that we want to let everyone know that the
President and Founder of the IWA, Harry Hall lost his battle with
cancer and passed away on Tuesday February 10th, 2009.
Without Harry's guidance and vision to help create the IWA, what we
have today might not still be in existence. His love for the Indian
Head Dam, Perkiomen Creek and the surrounding area will never be
forgotten. We must all make sure to continue our fight to save this
pristine area now in his honor.
For those that just want to sign the
online Petition...
